Urban music dwellers will be up for a session to remember on the 21st of October at Stanbic Bank Piazza (Molapo Crossing) as the maiden mayor lit session will be conducted.

Mayor lit sessions is an uptown type of event which is expected to be dominated mostly by hip hop artists from both Botswana and South Africa. "We have decided to combine locals with internationals mainly because we want locals to interact with international artists with hope of future celebration. This is the first kind of what is expected to be an annual event and we can assure people that they are going to get worth of their money," said Bruce Nkagile one of the event organizers.

Some of the artists to perform on the night include Emtee, Fifi Cooper (South Africa) whom their songs are making waves across Southern Africa. Vee, Dj T-Izzy and Nippy are amongst some of the locals who are expected to be well representing Botswana. MC's of the night include the charismatic South Africa performer, Somizi and the local kwaito sensation THABO.

"I am more excited, honored and grateful to perform in Botswana. I am sure that we are going to have a good show because when performing I always give it my all more especially when I am out South Africa as by then I would be representing my nation," said Emtee.

Tickets will cost P 100 for early Bird, P150 standard and P 250 golden circle early bird. The golden circle ticket cost P350 whereas the VIP which has only 100 tickets reserved for it will go out for P 1 500.

"I can commit that 10 percent of the profits will be going out to charity," revealed Nkagile.
