Stanbic Bank Increases Access And Opportunity For Customers

GABORONE – Stanbic Bank Botswana has opened two new branches in the Northern Gaborone area at Airport Junction and Acacia Mall in Phakalane. The branches officially opened on 15th and 16th November 2017 respectively.

The new branches come as part of the Stanbic Bank drive to increase not only footprint, but sense of consumer inclusion. Now, the Bank can even more conveniently serve residents of the Gaborone North area, including but not limited to: Phakalane, Oodi, Mochudi, and Ruretse and the greater Gaborone area.

With the new extended banking operation hours, Airport Junction Branch opens from 08h30 to 18h30 weekdays, 09h00 to 1430 Saturday, and 09h00 to 12h30 Sunday. Acacia Branch in Phakalane opens from 08h30 to 16h30 weekdays and Saturday from 09h00 to 13h30.

“At Stanbic Bank, we take a very strategic view to how we grow and how we create customer access points. Not only do we want it to make business sense, but we want to be closest to catchment areas of our key clientele. The Gaborone North areas, inclusive of Phakalane, are an important market for us, and one we felt we needed a stronger presence in. At the same time, this affords us the opportunity to enhance the digital capabilities in-branch, in line with our drive to be not only a more universal bank, but a more digital centered institution, catering for the wants and needs of our clients,” said Chiko Manokore, Stanbic Bank Botswana Head of Customer Channels.

With the customer at the heart of each branch’s design, both locations feature experiential and convenience adding aspects. From characteristically bright and spacious interiors to a host of thoughtful customer friendly touches. This also works to ensure smooth flow of foot traffic within the branches.

Customers can continue to use all other Stanbic Bank Botswana branches nationwide, or make use of the Bank’s digital solutions such as: Stanbic Bank App, cellphone banking and Internet banking, and increased ATM footprint, amongst others.

“As these exciting developments unfold, we will continue to keep our valued stakeholders informed. What our focus is on now is ensuring that, as always, our efforts towards building what we call ‘scale’ never compromise our passion and dedication towards ensuring the best possible customer experience and making our customers’ lives easier and more convenient. Indeed, this is something we hold dear in all our baking halls, as well as our mobile and digital banking platforms,” concluded Manokore.
