Liberty Life Botswana hosted a farewell dinner for 10 top achieving Lotsane students who were leaving for Scotland through the Global School Partnership Program.
Speaking at the event, Liberty Life Botswana Managing Director Lulu Rasebotsa expressed gratitude and excitement for being given the opportunity to sponsor such a meaningful course.
One of the key reasons Liberty life decided to partner with Lotsane Senior Secondary is that as Liberty Life Botswana, education remains at the core of our operation and success.
“As our organisational mantra “The advantage of Knowing”, duly states, we strongly believe that knowledge is the key to success and that everyone should be given an equal opportunity at achieving this advantage. We believe, furthermore, that when that knowledge is put to good use it can change lives, make dreams into reality and contribute positively to both economy and society,” said Rasebotse.

The Global School Partnership Program is as a result of a partnership between Lotsane Senior Secondary School in Palapye and Charleston Academy in Scotland which started in 2009 with biannual trips being taken since inception. The program is designed to expose top academically performing form four students in accompaniment of their teachers, to the culture and education of Scotland.
It is said that the program is a huge success in that it is motivating students and teachers to perform exceptionally well academically. In the year 2015 BGCSE results, Lotsane was position 7 nationally with one of the program alumni emerging at position 1 nationally after the school had struggled for years to penetrate the top 10 national position.
Rasebotsa congratulated the school for the wonderful program highlighting that there is a huge gap for support and award of top achievers and urged individuals, small business and large corporates alike to show their support in rewarding excellence.
Rasebotsa assured the Lotsane pupils that Liberty Life Botswana was open to talks of further engagement in the future.
She bid the top achievers well saying, “Students, as you embark on this journey, remember that the world is your oyster, there is nothing that you cannot do as long as you set your mind to it. Use this opportunity as your advantage to know.”
