ERB rejects dubious New Era Diploma

- National Credit and Qualifications Framework to streamline qualifications
- Naming of qualifications to be done by BQA

The Engineers Registration Board(ERB) has revealed that it has rejected applications for registration by some engineering students studying the City and Guilds courses at institutions like New Era because it only registers holders of 'diploma, degree or licence of a school of engineering which are recognized by the Board in terms of section 8(1)(b) of the Act.
