World Queues launches innovative ticket platform

First Steps Venture Centre (FSVC), which is the Innovation Hub's technology entrepreneurship development programme, has announced the launch of World Queues, a system that manages customer flow by creating a platform where customers can digitally queue via their cell phones.

"Our idea is to reduce queue's by implementing ticket and feedback system. It tells you how many people are in the line and how long they are likely to take before you are served," said Juctice William, Managing Director of Mind Queues.

He said, "You can also receive a ticket by Sms."

WorldQueues has developed a cloud based queue management service which saves time and cuts costs for customers. The company is targeting institutions with high volumes of walk-in customers such as government departments, banks, postal services, hospitals and clinics.

WorldQueues is the 1st of its kind queue management service and is already being rolled out at the Department of Road Transport Services (DRTS) and First National Bank (FNB) in Botswana.

The service has also been exported to Kenya where the country's Co-operative Bank and Kenya Revenue Authority are already using it.
