Officials ‘intimidate’ Eritrean football players

The lawyers for the 10 members of the Eritrean Football team fighting deportation from Botswana have been visited by unnamed officials whilst in incarceration in Francistown Centre for Illegal Immigrants Sunday night, which is situated about 20km outside the city centre it was revealed today.

Suspended Judges face Tribunal

In a highly anticipated judgement High Court Justice T. Tau today ruled that the four suspended High Court Judges Oagile Dingake, Modiri Letsididi, Mercy Garekwe and Ranier Busang had failed to show they had a prima facie right to a hearing prior to a suspension by President Lieutenant General Seretse Khama Ian Khama pending an inquiry by a Tribunal into allegations of misbehavior.

DCEC asked to conclude investigations on Olopeng and Guma

The Directorate of Economic Crime(DCEC) was Wednesday given a period of two months by the Village Magistrate Court to conclude their investigations into the company's accounts of IRB Transport which belongs to Guma Moyo and Minister of Sports and Youth Thapelo Olopeng after being frozen, following suspicions of bribery and corruption.
