Killers of Thamaga sisters remanded

A second accused person in the murder of Thamaga two sisters, Bakang Godisang was yesterday remanded. This was revealed shortly after the prosecution asked court to remand her. She appeared before Principal Magistrate Ndlovu of Broadhurst Magistrate Court.

Godisang had nothing to tell court when she was asked whether she has anything to say. However the Prosecutor Inspector Onkemetse Gaboutlwelwe of Broadhurst Police Station told the court that the first accused Caroline Gwamolumba who is undergoing chemotherapy treatment in South African hospital will be present at the next court mention.

'Gwamolumba is scheduled to undergo the last treatment circle on February 16, 2016 and she is expected back home anytime soon and she will be taken straight to prison when she arrive, ''said Gaboutlwelwe.

According to the charge sheet, Gwamolumba (38) and Godisang (26) are accused of setting Kgalalelo Mokgalo and Tuelo Mokgalo's house in Block 3 Location in Gaborone on fire on December 23, 2015.

It is alleged that after Gwamolumba found out that Tuelo was pregnant with their shared boyfriend's child. The two accused therefore went to Block 3 and set the house on fire. The hospital temporarily saved the baby but Tuelo died.

She later died on December 31, 2015, while her sister Kgalalelo died on January 1, 2016. The two accused women will appear again before court on the 29 February 2016.
