Ntuane's departure regrettable says Gaolathe

Dismisses umbrella coalition with BDP as wishful thinking

BNBotsalo Ntuane's move to BDPNewly appointed Botswana Movement for Democracy(BMD) Deputy President Ndaba Gaolathe is confident the BMD will continue to cause political tremors despite the departure of one of its founding fathers Botsalo Ntuane, saying his return to the BDP was regrettable. He also expressed skepticism about the process of allowing members to register for the umbrella and individual parties in the lead up to the election maintaining that this dual registration process could cause unnecessary confusion and would form the basis of discussions on the 4th August 2012.

Gaolathe entrusted to deputise BMD

Policy guru Ndaba Gaolathe was elected Deputy President of the Botswana Movement for Democracy over the weekend at the Extended National Executive Committee (Leadership) Workshop in Palapye, to replace prodigal son Botsalo Ntuane who has retraced his steps back to the BDP.

BCP outraged by Kirby involvement in workers dispute

IMG 7904BCP Secretary General Kesitegile GobotswangThe Botswana Congress Party(BCP) has expressed concern at Appeal Court President Ian Kirby's involvement in the case of dismissed workers saying he is a long-time friend of the Khama family. "All the workers should be worried that this man heads the Court of Appeal and in particular, he is directly involved in this case," said Kesitegile Gobotswang, BCP Secretary General.
