BSE hosts Annual health, Fitness & Investment Drive

Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE) will host its annual health, fitness and
investment drive on the 5th August 2017 scheduled for BNYC Sport ground in
fairgrounds.

According to a statement released by BSE the drive will be held under the
theme “Stay Health, Get Wealthy” and the event is expected to officially
 start at 0700hrs.

The release states that the aim is to help teach Batswana on health and
financial issues whilst “the overall aim of the BSE health, fitness and
Investment drive is to educate Batswana and the general public at large on
the benefits of a healthy mind, body and financial status.”

The press statement further explains that as a strategic initiative the CIS
Drive will also “strive to highlight the importance of investing in the
stock market as an avenue for wealth creation, with the long term of
insuring one’s future financial status.”

Furthermore, the statement reveals that the whole purpose of the day will be
achieved through a fun and interactive environment. Health and fitness
activities will be facilitated by professional trainers and medical stuff.

The BSE Health, Fitness & Investment Drive is open to members of the public
and is free of charge with the cream of Botswana’s corporate Society
including private companies, government departments and parastatals
expected to attend.

The Botswana Stock Exchange calls on the public to come dressed in their
best gym wear and the official opening of the event will be done by BSE CEO
Thapelo Tsheole.

The Botswana Stock Exchange is Botswana’s national stock exchange which is
mandated to operate and regulate the equities and fixed interest securities
market.

Established in 1989 the BSE is pivotal to Botswana’s financial system and
is one of Africa’s best performing stock exchange averaging 24% aggregate return over last 10 years. It is the third largest stock exchange in market

capitalization in Southern Africa.
