‘Supremacy’ Middleweight Championship Fight Between ‘GGG’ and ‘Canelo’

Kwesé Sports will once again bring you all the blow-by-blow action to one of the biggest middleweight clashes of the year when Gennady ‘GGG’ Golovkin takes on Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez on Saturday 16 September. Kazakhstani Golovkin will attempt to retain his unbeaten record, while Mexican Alvarez tries to make history by making a dent in Golovkin’s impressive record. Kwesé Sports 1 will deliver live ring side access to the fight at 02h00 CAT on Sunday 17 September.

With the World Boxing Association, World Boxing Council and the International Boxing Federation titles on the line this fight promises to be a showcase of grit, focus and boxing talent.

Golovkin holds three middleweight titles and is hailed by critics as the ‘world’s best middleweight fighter’ with a phenomenal 37-0 record which is impressive for someone who was relatively unknown five years ago.

Alvarez is no walk in the park either as a former welterweight and super welterweight champion who comes into the fight with a solid 49-1-1 record, he is arguably Golovkin’s biggest opponent yet. It’s no wonder the fight has been dubbed the fight for ‘Supremacy’.

Fight fans all over the globe are clamouring to watch the Golovkin-Alvarez fight. African boxing lovers can look no further than Kwesé Sports for Sub-Saharan Africa coverage of this not-to-be-missed championship.

Any true boxing fan or sports lover will definitely want to see how this fight unfolds and they can do so exclusively on Kwesé. Viewers in Ghana, Zambia, Lesotho, Rwanda and Botswana can watch every jab, hook and upper cut LIVE on Kwesé Sports 1, channel 300 on the Kwesé TV bouquet at 02h00 CAT on Sunday 17 September. Kwesé Free Sports will broadcast the report at 21h45 on Monday 18 September.

Viewers outside these markets can also watch the fight on the Kwesé App which will house a pop-up channel for the fight.
