MultiChoice Group, a Canal+ Company, introduces its most significant product update in years, bringing more of Africa’s greatest entertainment live to subscribers from 5 November.
The new package line-up is designed around how customers watch today, with clearer choices, more accessible content and more value across the line-up.
“Our commitment is on giving our customers better value and access to the entertainment and sport that matters most to them.” said Stephanie Pillay, CEO of MultiChoice Botswana. “We recognise that customers’ needs and viewing habits are evolving, and our new DStv packages reflect that.
By introducing more choice, expanding access to some of our most loved content and creating packages tailored to different viewing preferences. Whether it’s the best of African storytelling, international series and movies, or world-class live sport, DStv continues to bring it all together in one place.”
More entertainment for more subscribers: For the first time, some of DStv’s biggest channels will be available at significantly more accessible price points.

SuperSport KICKOFF brings selected football from the biggest leagues in the world, like the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League, while Wethu+ brings premium local and international series tiered down from Mzansi Magic and M-Net to an entry-level package for the first time.
DStv Family becomes DStv Select with a wide variety of entertainment for the whole family, including refreshed movie channels, local and international series, a selection of fantastic football and other sport, and all of the kids’ channels.
DStv Compact becomes DStv Movies & Series. This is a new general entertainment package, bringing together channels like M-Net, all the movie channels, Discovery Channel and BBC Earth into a focused series and movie-lovers package.
It includes a selection of sports as well, cementing that Expect More promise with the new DStv lineup.
DStv’s movie offering has been refreshed with M-Net Movies+, M-Net Stars and M-Net Legends, bringing more blockbusters, faster access to new releases and fewer repeats.
More sport across the line-up
DStv Compact branches out to also become DStv Sports. This is DStv’s first package built specifically for sports fans, with 17 channels covering every Premier League and UEFA Champions League match, cricket previously only available on DStv Premium, selected international club rugby, WWE and UFC.
Alongside all of this amazing sporting action, DStv Sports includes the general entertainment channels on DStv Select, proving that Expect More isn’t just a new brand tagline, but also a tangible promise through DStv’s new content offerings.
DStv Premium becomes DStv Ultimate. It remains DStv’s most comprehensive offering, combining everything in the Sports and Movies & Series packages with additional premium sport, including Formula 1, MotoGP, Grand Slam tennis and golf majors.
